Day Seven and Blog Hop Winner

Before we get started with today's tag, I wanted to share the name of the Tiffany Doodles blog hop winner, and winner of the darling Pocket Mouse digi image.
Tabitha, please email me at ksdm@comcast.net in order to receive your free digi and congratulations!! And now for today's tag...Hey, I had all of the supplies needed for today's card!! Thank you Wholly Scrap! :-) Well to say that I thought the Day Seven tag was amazing is an understatement. This baby is beautiful! Full of sparkle and dimension...love it! The background was created by using the wood grain texture fade. I then aged the daylights out of it with Distress Ink; Stickles were then applied all over the entire tag. Tip: One of best ways to add quick shine and sparkle without waiting for Stickles to dry is to apply a few drops on your project and then use your finger to rub the Stickles over the piece. This way you get a hint of sparkle and shine and the glue dries within minutes. I used the Idea-ology tattered florals and leaf die cuts to punch out my flowers and leaves from grunge paper (Tim used a sticky backed canvas, which I need to add to my shopping list...very cool stuff!). Distress Ink was used to add the color to the flower/leaves and then a hint of Stickles before bending the petals to give it some dimension. The interesting thing is that Tim cut all of his petals apart before attaching the flower to the tag...one petal at a time. I don't know if I would ever think of doing that but this method allows you to add all that dimension. My letters are from the grungeboard alphabet soup collection...I simply used a blending tool to add the ink and then stamped directly on top of the letters with a text stamp (from Papertreyink). My gold swirl is also from a Tim die cut and the number 25 was punched out of a piece of paper from Tim's paper stack. Stay tuned for more goodies...One a few more days to go and hey, I even managed to cook dinner for my family a few days this week! ;-)
