Sweet 'n Sassy Release Celebration - Monarch Dies

And we're down to our last day of the release celebration...it's always sad when it's all over...Except now you can go shopping for all of the new goodies!  WooHoo!!!

Today's post features the new Monarch Dies, which just so happen to go perfectly with the Majestic Monarchs stamp set!  And during the release you can get both of them for the bundled price of only $26.75!

Since I had so much fun with all that white space on yesterday's card, I decided to carry that theme through to today's card!  Another embossed background (embossing folders are so much fun!) and a big 'ol circle for the beautiful sentiment.  I then die cut the butterflies and used Distress Paint to color them.  Once the paint was dry, I simply used Archival ink to stamp the image on to the die cut.  Then I gave their wings a little bend and attached each butterfly with foam tape.  Easy peasy!

Sweet 'n Sassy Release Celebration - God is Bigger

And we're on to day four - yippee!  Today's set is another beautiful sentiment set, God is Bigger.  I love this set because you can mix and match the words and phrases to create your own message.  Perfection!

For my card, I went all white and all dies!  I started by embossing the background with an older Tim Holtz Texture Fade and I then added a few clouds, from the Clouds & Raindrops die set, and the crosses, from the Calvary die...popping both of them up with foam tape.  I then stamped the four sentiments on white cardstock, created banner ends, and attached to the card.  Voila!

Sweet 'n Sassy Release Celebration - Valentine's Critters

Welcome to day three of the release celebration!  Today we're talking all things love with this sweet Valentine Critters stamp set, which features darling "critters" and coordinating sentiments.  I loved this set so much, I made two cards!  The first features a faux quilted background with the sweet teddy bear and the second is a great CAS card showing off this darling little pup.  Both cards were colored with Copic markers and I was even able to add a bit of "texture" to both animals by using a colorless blending marker.

Sweet 'n Sassy Release Celebration - The Future

Welcome to day two of the Sweet 'n Sassy Release Week Celebration...aren't you having a blast so far!  I know I am...I just adore this month's release!  Today's stamp set is called The Future and it includes a number of beautiful and encouraging sentiments.  This set is perfect for cards that tell loved ones you're thinking about them and to remind them that God is in control...(Amen for that!)

To create my card, I first used a bookmark die to cut out a piece of cardstock for the sentiment.  I then stamped one of the swirls from the Leafy Flourish stamp set on the bookmark, which I did need to trim to fit onto the card.  The sentiment is layered over the swirl (have I told you how much I love swirls?).  Then I got to decorating...pretty paper, rhinestone swirls, flowers, more die cuts and two sweet text butterflies, cut using the new Monarchs die set (more on that new product in a few days!)

Sweet 'n Sassy Release Celebration - Leafy Flourish Background & More

Hi folks and welcome to the January Sweet 'n Sassy Release week celebration!  Get ready to have your socks knocked off this week...Korin has some amazing stamp sets in store for you this month and you are going to love each and every one of them!

First up is one of my favs...a big 'ol background stamp called Leafy Flourish Background & More...and it's full of swirls!  What could be better for this flower/swirl lovin' girl!  I decided to combine bring a little mixed media to my first project and grabbed my Distress Paints for this first project.  To start, I apply Distress Paint directly on to the stamp, gave the stamp a spritz of water, and stamped on the tag.  Beautiful!!  The paints mix together so well, without getting muddy...love that!

I then used the Typewriter Text background stamp to stamp over the entire tag.  I then covered a die cut circle with metal foil tape, ran that through my Vagabond, using a Tim Texture Fade, applied black paint, and the sanded down the paint after it was dry.  This was to be the home for my sweet vintage typewriter, from last month's release, Keep in Touch (there's a matching die too!)  I just added some twine behind the typewriter and attached a sentiment to the top of the tag with a stapler.

This background stamp is amazing and can be used in some many applications...just check out what our design team has created by following the links below!
