Sweet 'n Sassy Friday Feature - Birthday Word Art

Hi folks! Each week in May Sweet 'n Sassy is featuring a stamp set and this week we're highlighting the Birthday Word Art stamp set, which features 13 birthday themed sentiments (including that cute number stamp you see on my card!). And rumor has it that the featured sets may just be on sale...be sure to hit the SNSS blog for all of the details.

To create today's card I used the Leafy Flourish background stamp and three coordinating Distress Inks to stamp the image onto my card base, creating an ombre effect. I then got busy die cutting...(you can find all product links below) my frame, circle, kite, and cloud. Since SNSS sells stamps that coordinate with their dies (or the other way around!), I was able to stamp the edge designs on to the frame and kite. (There's also an outline stamp for the cloud!) Then I colored my kite and assembled my card! (I also stamped the numbers on to a piece of plain cardstock to act as a band on my card base.)

Enjoy!

Sweet 'n Sassy Release Celebration - Leafy Flourish Background & More

Hi folks and welcome to the January Sweet 'n Sassy Release week celebration!  Get ready to have your socks knocked off this week...Korin has some amazing stamp sets in store for you this month and you are going to love each and every one of them!

First up is one of my favs...a big 'ol background stamp called Leafy Flourish Background & More...and it's full of swirls!  What could be better for this flower/swirl lovin' girl!  I decided to combine bring a little mixed media to my first project and grabbed my Distress Paints for this first project.  To start, I apply Distress Paint directly on to the stamp, gave the stamp a spritz of water, and stamped on the tag.  Beautiful!!  The paints mix together so well, without getting muddy...love that!

I then used the Typewriter Text background stamp to stamp over the entire tag.  I then covered a die cut circle with metal foil tape, ran that through my Vagabond, using a Tim Texture Fade, applied black paint, and the sanded down the paint after it was dry.  This was to be the home for my sweet vintage typewriter, from last month's release, Keep in Touch (there's a matching die too!)  I just added some twine behind the typewriter and attached a sentiment to the top of the tag with a stapler.

This background stamp is amazing and can be used in some many applications...just check out what our design team has created by following the links below!
