About that Chipboard...

Remember those chipboard videos I posted on Saturday for the Faith Perspective/SNR Blog o Log? Well when I finished with them I was left with a whole lotta chipboard that was in desperate need of a home! So...in honor of SNR's Spring Fling and to use up my lonely chipboard pieces I decided that I would use the pieces I demo'd in the videos to create projects for this entire week! I don't typically create many scrapbook pages but there was no way around it when it came to using my giant chipboard "K!" This puppy is about 3" tall so it would have taken quite a large card to accommodate such a big letter. :-) Initially when I covered the "K" I did so with the thought of my name, which begins with a K. But then when it came down to creating with the K I realized I didn't want to make a page about me...egads...what is there to share really? LOL! Thankfully, my hubby's name also begins with a K so there you have the birth of this page! I did have to really age the edges of my letters to tone down the floral paper. No matter, my husband said he was secure in his manhood and was ok with a bit of floral on his scrapbook page. hee hee To make the page a bit more manly I used a lot of black and blue as coordinating colors. Nothing too outrageous on this page that isn't easy to figure out...I did have fun adding some stitching to my giant circle. I know many people like very straight stitching on their projects but I adore the imperfect stitch! All the materials used on my page are from Stampin' Up!, with the exception of the numbers, which are from American Crafts. Notice the addition of the chipboard tag...can you tell that I love chipboard of what? I think I may have a problem...I'm addicted to chipboard! Stay tuned for more projects this week! I just finished two darling 8x8 pages of both boys - looking forward to sharing those! Enjoy and let me know what projects you've been using chipboard on lately...Oh, and stay tuned for an announcement on the new SALT design team! We've got an amazing group that we're announcing very soon...

I did watch those videos!! I LOVE seeing videos of my crafting friends...it helps me to get to know better "who" you are :)
I LOVE CHIPBOARD!!!
I love what you did with it on this layout too....what a GREAT combo of shapes and colours and lines!
My favourite thing to do with chipboard is cover it with dp (which can take FOREVER to sand the edges) or paint and stamp on it.

I love this page. And I did not notice that was a floral paper on your letters-until you said something. I just thought it was a pattern of some sort.
Very very nice!
