Keep it Simple Sunday

What could today's project be?? It's a scrapbook page! One that I'll be demonstrating at a class at Wholly Scrap this week, using some fabulous vintage Graphic 45 paper that recently arrived in the store.
Now I'm not really a scrapbooker so my goal for the upcoming scrapbook classes is to teach how to create a two-page layout quickly and easily. While this might look some what complicated this page actually only took about a half hour to put together. Here are the steps: 1) Use a 1 3/8" circle punch to punch out six pieces of the Graphic 45 paper. (I love this combo of pink, green, and black!). Use flower punch to punch out one green and one cream flower.
2) Layer one circle of DP onto the green flower.
3) Stamp lines onto the cream flower for journaling.
4) Center and attach all of the circles, and one square (topped with a piece of ribbon) to the bottom of a 12x12 page. 5) Cut out cream/green squares for photos, add punch out photo corners, attach final piece of DP in the background, sentiment, and tag with ribbon.
Some other notes on the page...
-The fun embellishments on the page, the square at the bottom, the teeny circles with the butterfly and rose, the sentiment, and the tag at the top are all from a page of Graphic 45 die cuts so I only out to punch them out before attaching! -The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.
-The brackets were created by tracing a template and cutting them out from the DP.
Just a few easy steps! The second page, which I still need to create, will follow the same look and feel but the location of the circles, etc. will be in a different format. My one downside to this project is that it hasn't been photographed all that well....humm....any suggestions for how to get a good photo of such a large page? It didn't work well in my photo tent. You can click on the photo for a better view! Enjoy and I'll be back later this week with news on the Stamping Around event that took place this weekend at Wholly Scrap...it was a blast!!
