Creative Chaos

Creative chaos...yup, that just about sums up the way I create and the way I end up with a final product...chaos! LOL!  What kind of crafter are you?  I'm a pull out all the products, toss them all on the floor behind my seat, and make a great, big mess and then...I stress because it's a mess and spend an entire day cleaning my studio.  It's about balance, right?  I'm still working on that part... **smile**

Today's tag is for the Everything Wendy Vecchi challenge, which was to use Distress Embossing Powder on a project.  (You can see Wendy's sample here)  I decided to go with a tag for my project and, staying true to myself, pulled out every Wendy Vecchi stencil, stamp set, and paste that I own to create the project you now see!
I started by adding some light color to the background of my tag using Gathered Twigs and Old Paper Distress Ink.  I added just a few stamped images from the Parisian Art stamp set.  I then secured the Brick Wall stencil over my tag and smooshed (that's a technical term) my Versamark ink pad into the open spaces of the stencil.  I then carefully removed the stencil and added Fried Brick and Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Powder to the design.  Hit that baby with a heat gun and voila, had a snazzy background.

Then I got busy with the Fresh Flowers stencil and white embossing paste.  I found a piece of heavy duty cardstock and applied a thick layer of embossing paste to the stencil.  Once the paste was dry, I used Distress Markers to color the flower.  (The little black dots are just a thing I do...I don't know why, I just like dots!)  I then cut out each part of the flower and glued it (loving 3 in 1 glue lately!) to my tag.

Next came the Classic Words stencil and a black marker, some Idea-ology Film Strip, along with this great sentiment from the Original Art stamp set.  And no project is complete without a butterfly...this one is from a Maaartha punch.

That's it for me today folks, hope you enjoyed the project!  Now go out and get crafy!
