I Love Cake!

My first time using my newly purchased Just Johanna stamps and my first time creating a card using transparencies. I adore the Just Johanna sentiments and the "I love cake" background stamp is definitely a favorite. In truth, I really do love cake...actually anything with sugar as the main ingredient... :-)

The background was stamped with black Stazon onto a transparent sheet. The cake image was also stamped with the Stazon onto watercolor paper. I then used watercolor pencils and an aqua painter to color the image. A small piece of tangerine grosgrain ribbon was added to give the piece a punch of color. I cut out the completed cake image and attached it to the card with stampin' dimensionals to give the card a bit of....well....dimension. The final card size is smaller than average, just 4" x 4.5".
Happy creating and happy cake eating! Yum!

Supplies:
Stamps by Just Johanna
Black Stazon ink, tangerine ribbon, stampin' dimensionals, watercolor pencils and aqua painter from Stampin' Up!

This looks like fun-I always seem to have some peices left from stickers and such and overlays by themselves are so expensive. Can you add a feed too? I love getting my blog updates by email.

This card is really gorgeous Kim! The theme on Technique Thursdays blog was transparencies. You could leave them a comment, I'm sure they would love to see your card!
