Sweet 'n Sassy Release Celebration - Inspirational Word Art

 

Welcome to DAY 3 of our February Release Blog Hops!

Today the DT is thrilled to share the new Inspirational Word Art with you.  This 4"x6" set includes 6 inspiring sentiments that are sure to encourage any recipient and go nicely with any stamps you already own.  This set is the first in it's series!

For my card,  I took all of the sentiments from the set and laid them out on a card, in a pattern that would fill my piece of cardstock.  Once the design was set, I pick up all of the stamps at once with a stamp press (if you don't have one of these...you need one!)  I stamped the sentiments on the cardstock and then embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I grabbed my watercolors and scribbled some colors all over the card.  The embossing resists the paint!  I added a main sentiment, some bling, and another darling butterfly (left over from yesterday's card!)

Sweet 'n Sassy Release Celebration - Delightfully Delicate Background

 

Welcome to DAY 2 of our February Release Blog Hops!

Today the DT is thrilled to share the new Delightfully Delicate Backgroundwith you.  This gorgeous image is a seamless background stamp that can be used to make as large a background as you wish!  You'll love the dainty touch it adds to your projects!

For today's card, I used a pearly white embossing powder and stamped the image on black cardstock...beautiful!  And since the background image was so pretty I didn't want to cover it up so I just added a sentiment (more on that later!), which has been stamped over the Typewriter Text background and two sweet butterflies from the Monarch Dies set, which coordinates with the Majestic Monarchs stamp set.

Sweet 'n Sassy Release Celebration - Bloom and Grow

 

Welcome to DAY 1 of our February Release Blog Hops!

Today the Sweet 'n Sassy team is thrilled to share the new Bloom & Grow stamp set with you.  This 4"x6" set includes 6 images that can be used together for layering or to create backgrounds.  It also includes 6 beautiful sentiments that have to do with blooming and growing---a lovely new set to get you thinking Spring.  (You can see the full set below)

For my card, I started with the new Checkmate stencil from Wendy Vecchi and used white embossing paste through the stencil.  See how part of the paste is kind of brown?  That was because there was left over ink on my stencil...LOVE that!!  Instant vintage!  And yes, I only used the paste on a portion of the stencil...I like that fading out of the design.

I then stamped the flower image (the larger one) from the Bloom & Grow set multiple times to create a fuller flower.  I filled the inside of the flower by stamping the smaller petals multiple times and then added the middle.  The leaves/stem were stamped on another piece of cardstock and and the entire flower was cut out and attached with foam tape.
