Hi all! I'm sharing a clean and simple (CAS) card today that I created for a recent bridal shower. I am continuing to design for Sweet 'n Sassy stamps and will be sharing my creations, using their beautiful stamps, each week on the blog.
For this card I used an image from the Precious Poppies stamp set. Since this was for a bridal shower, and the brides colors included pink, I opted to keep a lot of white space on the card and use the bright color of the poppies as the focal point.
I used VersaMark ink to stamp the image and then heat embossed the poppies using white embossing powder. Once the powder was set I used watercolors to color the flowers and to add the blue background. (Tip: Copic markers don't work well with embossing powder as it removes the lines from the embossed areas.)
To finish the card I simply created a few layers of white cardstock and added the sentiment. I hope you enjoyed today's card...check back next week for more projects!
