Why did I "need" this stamp? Because "fabulous" is a word I use to describe just about everything. I confess that I use this word so much that many of my friends tease me about it...humm....well it sure does make for a, you guessed it, fabulous card!
The card size is small, 4.25" x 4.25". The background is stamped with a canvas background. The cream cardstock has been punched to look like it's been pulled from a notebook and a small piece of red cardstock was added underneath the punches for a hint of color. The pale green cardstock was stamped with a fun circle background and the "fabulous" was framed with sponged chipboard photo corners. I added a small piece of twill tape, which was slightly aged and stamped with the words "that was so" before attaching to the card. Just a few brads and a prima were added as accents.
Enjoy your weekend!

Oh...So Sassy...
Another card using my newly purchased Just Johanna stamps. Again, also using one of her fabulous, dare I say very sassy, sentiments. :-) I just about fell down laughing when I first saw this saying in the catalog...just too funny...and oh, so girly.
Very simple card, perhaps a little too plain though. There is a small bit of "bling" on the ribbon, one of the new Stampin' Up! crystal brads, which are very cute. To create the card I simply applied two small strips of patterned paper to the bottom of the card, stamped and cut out the sentiment, stamped and embossed the cat, then colored with markers, and attached Ms. Sassy Kitty to a distressed piece of chipboard. I also pierced around the chipboard circle and added the small piece of ribbon.
Now to find the perfect "catty" girlfriend to send this to...LOL!
Happy Friday!

I Love Cake!
My first time using my newly purchased Just Johanna stamps and my first time creating a card using transparencies. I adore the Just Johanna sentiments and the "I love cake" background stamp is definitely a favorite. In truth, I really do love cake...actually anything with sugar as the main ingredient... :-)
The background was stamped with black Stazon onto a transparent sheet. The cake image was also stamped with the Stazon onto watercolor paper. I then used watercolor pencils and an aqua painter to color the image. A small piece of tangerine grosgrain ribbon was added to give the piece a punch of color. I cut out the completed cake image and attached it to the card with stampin' dimensionals to give the card a bit of....well....dimension. The final card size is smaller than average, just 4" x 4.5".
Happy creating and happy cake eating! Yum!
