12 Tags of Christmas - Day Two
Giddy...that's how I feel about creating these tags...down right giddy, with a capital G!! I was running from my computer to the craft room last night, putting on the finishing touches to day two and day three tags (ohh...I can't wait to share tomorrow's tag!!) and having a blast the entire time! My husband had a great time teasing me... ;-)
Tim's day two tag featured some embossing and a wonderful "make your own" stamp technique that he shared with his readers. I didn't have the pine cone image that Tim used on his tag but I do have this fabulous Santa stamp, which I just love, so I used that as my main image on my tag. The "post card" image was embossed with clear embossing powder before I added ink to the backgroun of the tag. (The photo washed out the color on this tag a bit...the blue is deeper in person.) Once I got the color on the tag, I added a swirl and stamp image. Santa needed a little bling so I gave him a Stickles covered holly wreath. The metal bird was attached with Glossy Accents. For ribbon (I've really been enjoying Tim's attention to the ribbons this year...lots of fun with inks and textures.), I colored a piece of twill with my Copic markers. I really liked the look, kind of shabby and vintage.
Stay tuned for tomorrow' tag...some fabulous techniques that ROCK!! Love it!! And be sure to check out Tim's blog for full details on the techniques used on each tag.
Enjoy!
How pretty Kim. So vintage.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
